There shall be only One Question Paper which shall contain 150 multiple choice objective type questions to be solved within a period of 3

hours.

DIRECT RECRUITMENT IN MADHYA PRADESH

HIGHER JUDICIAL SERVICE (ENTRY LEVEL)

 

Syllabus/Pattern of Main Examination

 

The Main Written Examination shall consist of two sets of papers each

set shall consist two papers, each set of papers shall be of 3 hours duration

and of maximum 100 marks each set.

 

The object of the written test is to assess the knowledge of candidate in

Law and latest pronouncements and writing skill along with the knowledge

of the languages, English and Hindi.

 

A Set of two papers shall be given simultaneously containing: –

 

1st Paper –

Hindu Law (Hindu Marriage Act, Hindu Succession Act

& Hindu Adaptation and Maintenance Act)

3rd Paper –

 

1. Article (150 words) on Social Topic - 15 Marks

2. Article (150 words) on Legal Topic - 10 Marks

3. Summary Writing (Hindi Legal) - 10 Marks

4. Summary Writing (English Legal) - 15 Marks

(For Summary Writing, a matter like copy of Plaint, Written Statement or

Charge Sheet / Complaint may be given and the candidate shall be asked to

summarize it into 150-200 words).

 

4th Paper –

 

1. Judgment / Order (Civil) - 30 Marks

2. Judgment / Order (Criminal) - 20 Marks

 

Separate answer sheets for each paper shall be provided to each candidate. It

is made clear that set of question paper No. I & II in first spell of time simultaneously and III & IV in second spell of time shall be supplied, simultaneously.
